Deborah is a Senior Children Law Solicitor and the Head of the Children Law Department at Howells Solicitors. Deborah is based at the Barnsley office but works in all South Yorkshire family courts.

She specialises in disputes involving children, whether between family members or in situations where social services are involved. With over 30 years of specialist experience in Children Law, she has expertise in representing children, parents and extended family members in highly sensitive and complex cases and has been on the Law Society Children Panel many years.

Deborah has an empathetic approach, providing clear practical and realistic advice, seeking to ensure the best outcome possible for each client.  Deborah has particular experience in complex care proceedings, such as cases with injuries requiring detailed investigation, or cases requiring specialist assessments due to cultural differences or unique family circumstances.
