Elizabeth is a Solicitor within both the inquest team and medical negligence team at Howells Solicitors, supporting families through some of the most difficult and sensitive circumstances they may ever face. She works closely with bereaved families before, during and after an inquest, providing clear, practical advice and helping them understand each stage of the process.

Elizabeth has experience in complex and sensitive inquests, including cases involving multiple organisations, expert evidence and contested hearings. She supports families not only behind the scenes but also as part of the representation team at inquest hearings, helping to ensure important questions are asked and key issues are properly explored.

Known for her compassionate and down‑to‑earth approach, Elizabeth takes time to listen to each family’s concerns and ensures they feel supported, informed and reassured throughout the process. She also regularly advises on Legal Aid and funding options, helping families understand what support may be available to them.

In addition to her inquest work, Elizabeth also supports clients in medical negligence cases, assisting with claims arising from delays in diagnosis, failures in treatment, and other concerns about the standard of care received. This work often complements her inquest experience, particularly where an investigation explores the circumstances surrounding a death or fatal injury. Elizabeth graduated with First Class Honours in Law from Sheffield Hallam University and previously worked at a not‑for‑profit social justice law firm. This background underpins her strong commitment to access to justice and client care, ensuring families feel heard, supported and never alone.
