Tom is a Solicitor in our Wills, Trusts and Probate team, where he helps clients in Sheffield and Barnsley to plan for their future.
Tom regularly assists people with preparing and updating Wills, setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney and creating Trusts, always explaining things clearly and in plain language. His aim is to help clients feel confident that their wishes are understood and that the right arrangements are in place for them and their loved ones.
Before qualifying as a Solicitor in February 2026, Tom completed his training contract with Howells, gaining experience across Medical Negligence and Inquests, Children’s Law, and Wills, Trusts and Probate.
Prior to retraining in law, Tom spent over ten years working in the NHS as a specialist radiographer in hospitals across the UK. He also worked as a Clinical Supervisor at the University of Leeds. This background means he brings patience, compassion and a strong understanding of people’s concerns—especially when dealing with life’s more sensitive decisions.
Tom joined Howells Solicitors in March 2023 after completing his legal studies at the University of Law in Sheffield. Clients often find him approachable, understanding and easy to talk to, helping them feel at ease throughout the process. He makes sure clients feel listened to, supported and never rushed.
