The firm has welcomed Joanna Sharp, Licensed Conveyancer, and Megan Burgin, Conveyancing Paralegal, into its Residential Property & Conveyancing team, based at Howells Solicitors’ Barnsley office.

Experienced Licensed Conveyancer Joins Barnsley Office

Barnsley born, Joanna Sharp joined Howells Solicitors in February 2026. She brings over 13 years’ experience in residential conveyancing. She trained with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC), achieving a Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice in 2020, before obtaining her CLC Licence in 2021.

Joanna advises clients on a wide range of residential property matters, including sales and purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgages. She is known for her clear, supportive approach and understands that many clients are navigating the conveyancing process for the first time.

Commenting on her appointment, Joanna said:

“I’m delighted to have joined Howells Solicitors and to be part of the Barnsley conveyancing team. Buying or selling a home can feel overwhelming, so I’m passionate about providing clear communication and a supportive, client‑focused service at every stage of the process.”

Joining Joanna is Megan Burgin, who works as a Conveyancing Paralegal at the Barnsley office. Megan began her legal career in 2022, initially joining a firm of solicitors as a receptionist and administrative assistant. Through ongoing training and development, she progressed into a commercial conveyancing assistant role, gaining valuable experience within property law.

Megan now supports clients with residential conveyancing transactions at Howells Solicitors, working closely with Joanna to ensure property matters progress smoothly and efficiently.
